Data Input Disclaimer

By entering business information, competitor details, or any other data into Scout ("Input Data"), you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Accuracy is your responsibility. You represent that you have the right to submit the Input Data and that it is accurate, current, and not misleading. Scout does not independently verify Input Data, and any scores, analyses, or recommendations we generate are only as accurate as the information you provide. Errors or omissions in your Input Data may affect the accuracy of your Prompt Score and other Outputs.

Do not submit sensitive personal information. Please do not enter government identification numbers, financial account numbers, health information, or other sensitive personal information into the Service. Scout is designed to process business-related information (such as business name, address, website, and category), not sensitive personal data, and is not intended to serve as a repository for it.

Input Data may be processed by third-party AI Engines. To generate your Prompt Score and related Outputs, your Input Data may be transmitted to and processed by third-party AI Engines and data providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity, and SerpApi) as described in our Privacy Policy. These providers operate independently of Scout, and their processing, retention, and potential use of that data is governed by their own terms, not by Scout. We encourage you to review our Privacy Policy for the current list of subprocessors and how each handles data.

No guarantee of accuracy or outcome. Outputs generated from your Input Data are informational suggestions only, not professional, legal, marketing, or business advice. Scout does not guarantee that any score, ranking, or recommendation reflects how AI Engines will actually describe your business, nor that acting on an Output will improve your visibility. AI Engine behavior is probabilistic and can change without notice, independent of anything you or Scout do.

You are responsible for what you publish. If you use an Output — including suggested page copy, business-profile content, or FAQ content — to create or update public-facing materials, you are solely responsible for reviewing it for accuracy and for ensuring it complies with applicable laws and any professional or advertising rules that apply to your business (which may be particularly relevant in regulated fields such as healthcare, dental, legal, or financial services) before publishing it.

Input Data about third parties. If your Input Data includes information about a competitor or other third party, you represent that your use of that information through the Service complies with applicable law and does not infringe or violate any third party's rights.

Template-based generated content. Certain Outputs (such as suggested page copy, business-profile content, or FAQ content) are generated by inserting your Input Data (such as business names, locations, services, specialties, or other descriptive terms) into a standardized content structure or template that may also be used to generate Outputs for other Scout customers. As a result:

• Outputs generated for your business may share structural, stylistic, or phrasing similarities with Outputs generated for other businesses, including competitors, even though the underlying Input Data differs.
• Scout does not guarantee that any generated content is unique, original, or free from resemblance to content generated for other customers or found elsewhere, and does not guarantee that publishing such content will avoid duplicate-content or other search- or AI-visibility consequences.
• You are responsible for reviewing generated content before publishing it, including confirming that any descriptive terms, claims, or characterizations inserted from your Input Data accurately reflect your business, and for editing the content as needed to reflect your business's own voice and offerings and to address any originality or duplication concerns.
• Scout does not warrant that template-based content, including any portion contributed by the underlying template rather than your Input Data, is free from third-party rights (such as copyright or trademark), and you remain responsible for reviewing and clearing generated content before use, consistent with Section 6 of our Terms of Service.

This disclaimer supplements, and does not replace, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In the event of a conflict between this disclaimer and either of those documents, the Terms of Service or Privacy Policy, as applicable, will control.
